A Brief History of the Company

Indonesia is one of the largest country in the world which has a big potential market with more than 200 million people from Sabang to Merauke. High population growth and social transformation in the in the last decade has brought new market dynamic challenges for pharmaceutical industry at the same time, open a whole new opportunities for the business players.

Since the early days of PT Dexa Medica, we have envisioned the important role of our distribution operations in covering and establishing good relationship with our retail customers. And in 1980, the Indonesian Minister of Health introduced a new regulation stated that the distribution or the wholesale operations of a pharmaceutical company had to be performed by a separate legal entity. This was the beginning of PT Anugrah Argon Medica.

This new government regulation created opportunities for AAM to distribute not only Dexa Medica's products, but also many more other principals' - local and foreign companies. We have a policy to treat each principal equally and fairly.

Began in 1980, AAM repositioned the business from trading venture to become a physical distributor for pharmacy products with national coverage in 1996. Anticipating the pharmaceutical market dynamics, in 2001 to 2003, AAM developed the Integrated Distribution and Advanced IT System.

Market development competence in 2005, Knowledge Organization in 2006, Supply Chain and Total Quality Management in the year of 2008, and AAM improves the competence in Customer Relationship Management in 2009.

Moreover, in 1993, another government regulation allowed a distribution company to import and register finished products as the local partner of any foreign companies. Therefore, in anticipation of this globalization era, AAM realized the urgency of increasing its capabilities and existence as one of the respected distribution company in Indonesia.

In line with the advancement of technology and infrastructure in Indonesia we have committed ourselves to continuously improve our service to our customers and principals. Every branch is already computerized and linked with the Head-office with modem operations, which enable us to provide a comprehensive information system for different usage of our internal and external stakeholders.

Our coverage is fully in line with our principals' to avail the goods as close as possible to the outlets. This intensive coverage is :

Performed by our 33 retail warehouses, 5 sales office, 4 representative office, 2 distribution centers.

Together with the commitment of our principals we are convinced that AAM distribution network will answer the real needs of distribution of pharmaceuticals and related health care companies for Indonesian market. These continual advancement shows AAM commitment in providing the best service for its customer and business partners. 

AAM commitment to Total Quality Management implementation is evident from obtaining the standard certification in the year 2008, such as: ISO 9001:2008 & GDP Standard, in accordance to WHO Technical series no. 937, year 2006.
